The year was 2014. Actually, we just barely flipped our calendars over from December to January .

When our stars aligned... In cyberspace.

After a couple of weeks of getting to know each other over instant messaging and phone calls, we went on our first date.

On Valentines Day 2014!

Two days later we changed our status to Boyfriend and Girlfriend.

And the rest is history!

Moving to Cape Town and starting a new life here always played in the back of our minds.

In December 2018 we pushed the button and decided it was time. Time for our new adventure.

We packed up our life in Pretoria, said goodbye to our families, our friends and our home (the only life we knew up until that point). We packed our little Ford Ecosport to the brim and hit the N1 to Cape Town with only what fit in it.

March, 12th 2019 we moved into our new home. A tiny little 40 square metre loft apartment in Darling Street, Cape Town City Centre.

Together we explored Cape Town. Made new memories. Found ourselves. Made amazing new friends; who have now become family. We built our new life.

Today, 6 years later, we have not looked back for a single day.

For the longest time we made jokes about tying the knot around the 10 year mark. Or were we really joking...?

March, 30th 2024, a mere month after our 10th Anniversary, the big question was finally asked.

Langebaan was the chosen destination for this occasion for two reasons.

The first reason: Our Jeweller is based in Langebaan.

The second reason: A much more literal & meaningful reason. The "lang" 10 year journey to get to this point.

Now we can't wait to tie the knot and spend forever together.
